AN ORDINANCE EXERCISING AN OPTION TO PURCHASE CERTAIN
HEAVY EQUIPMENT FOR USE AT THE LITTLE ROCK LANDFILL;
APPROPRIATING FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, in June 1976, the City of Little Rock entered into
a Lease /Purchase agreement for a IH TD -15 bulldozer and Wabco 101G
Scraper to be used at the Little Rock Landfill to comply with land-
fill maintenance requirements of the Arkansas State Department of
Pollution Control and Ecology; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that this said equipment is
necessary for daily use at said landfill and the need is so stated
in the Specifications and Operating Methods prepared by Garver and
Garver and submitted to said Department of Pollution Control and
Ecology for the new Landfill operation; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to exercise the purchase option con-
tained in said Lease /Purchase Agreement.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby exercises that certain
option to purchase one IH TD -15 bulldozer and one Wabco 101G Scraper,
pursuant to the terms of a Lease /Purchase agreement entered into in
June 1976, said equipment to be used at the new Sanitary Landfill.
SECTION 2. The sum of $16,400.00 is hereby appropriated from
the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to be used to supple-
ment the purchase of the equipment authorized in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
