HomeMy WebLinkAbout13357ORDINANCE NO' 139357- AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO DEFRAY THE COST OF RELOCATION OF NATURAL GAS LINES IN ORDER TO RECONSTRUCT AND IMPROVE A SECTION OF GEYER SPRINGS ROAD; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS, the Pulaski County Chancery Court and the Arkansas Supreme Court have ordered the City of Little Rock in a case styled "City of Little Rock VS Arkla Gas Company ", Supreme Court #76 -342 and Pulaski Chancery #75 -3771, to pay the cost of re- locating natural gas facilities within the right of way of a portion of Geyer Springs Road and entered Judgment accordingly. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The sum of $16,347.00 is hereby appropriated from the unappropriated balance of the General Fund to be paid to Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company in payment of the Judgment against the City of Little Rock, plus interest and court costs, to defray the expenses of Arkansas Louisiana Gas Company incurred in the removal and relocation of natural gas facilities from within the right of way of a portion of Geyer Springs Road. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. PASSED: October 18, 1977 ATTEST: APPROVED: City Cle k Mayor
