AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION
OF WEST 16th STREET IN BLOCK 8, BATEMAN'S
SUBDIVISION OF CHERRY & COX'S ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock
has determined that that portion of West 16th Street in the City
of Little Rock described in Section 1 hereof is not necessary
for public street and roadway purposes and desires to vacate
and abandon allits right, title and interest, together with that
of the public generally in said platted right of way pursuant to
the power granted cities of the first class by Section 19 -2304,
Arkansas Statutes annotated.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas hereby vacates
and abandons all its right, title and interest, together with that
of the public generally in and to the following described property
platted as a public right of way, to -wit:
West 16th Street for a distance of 150 feet
west of the curb line of South Grant Street
extended, all in Block 8, Bateman's Subdivision
of Cherry & Cox's Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
sibject, however, to any public utility easements located therein.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas and recorded in the Deed Records of
the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
