HomeMy WebLinkAbout13291ORDINANCE NO 13,291 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO REIMBURSE THE REVENUE SHARING TRUST FUND FOR MONIES USED FOR THE PURCHASE OF A LANDFILL SITE; REPEALING ORDINANCE No. 13,261; APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The sum of $130,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the unexpended balance of the City's General Fund to be used to re- imburse the Revenue Sharing Trust Fund from which said sum was originally appropriated to purchase property for a new landfill site. This reimbursement is being made for the reason that it has been determined that Revenue Sharing funds received after January 1, 1977 cannot be appropriated without prior public hearings, which public hearing was not had in this instance. SECTION 2. Ordinance #13,261 passed by the Board of Directors April 5, 1977 appropriating the sum of $152,000.00 from General Revenue Sharing funds is hereby repealed and those funds are hereby ordered returned to the said General Revenue Sharing Funds account. SECTION 3. The sum of $152,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the unexpended balance of the City's General Fund to be used to defray the costs of installing traffic signals at four high priority intersections in the City of Little Rock, namely: 12th & Cleveland Streets; Cantrell Road & Reservoir Road; Cantrell Road & Foxcroft Road; and one other unnamed intersection. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage. PASSED: June 7, 1977 ATTEST: APPROVED: City Cler Mayor
