AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS HAS HEREBY DETERMINED THAT A MAJORITY OF THE REAL
ESTATE OWNERS OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, DULY PETITIONED THE COUNTY COURT
OF PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, THAT THEIR PROPERTY BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, and
WHEREAS, after publication of notice of the hearing on
said petition and other formalities required by the Statutes of
Arkansas a hearing was held and the County Court of Pulaski County
made a finding that all requirements for annexation had been met,
and
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of April, 1978, the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas entered an Order annexing to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the lands described in this ordi-
nance, and
WHEREAS, no proceeding was instituted in the Circuit
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, to prevent the annexation with-
in thirty (30) days from the date of the order of the County Court
of Pulaski County, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That from and after the passage and approval
of this ordinance the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, pursuant to
the Statutes of the State of Arkansas, does hereby accept the
said annexation and the following described lands are hereby
annexed to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, to wit:
Beginning at the SE corner of the NEB NWk, Sec. 22,
T1N, R13W, thence S 89° 40' W along the South line of
said NE4 NW% 415.1'; thence N O1° 45' W 663.32' to the
South R/W of Col. Glenn Rd; thence S 81° 21' E along
said South R/W 287.2'; thence S 63° 11' E along said S
R/W 162.3'; thence South along the East line of said
NE)4 NW4 to the point of beginning, including all abutt-
ing and adjacent rights of way of public roads.
SECTION 2. The above described lands are accepted by
this ordinance and shall be and become a part of the 4th ward
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
