ORDINANCE NO 13,473
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 43 -28 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK PERTAINING TO USE CLASSIFICATION OF
LANDS ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 43 -28 of the Code of Ordinances per-
taining to the use classification for lands annexed to the
City of Little Rock is hereby amended to read as follows:
43 -28 Annexed Territory.
Territory which may hereafter be annexed to the
City of Little Rock shall be classified in the
"A" One- family district immediately upon Accep-
tance by the City until a zoning plan for the
area is prepared and adopted.
The Board of Directors shall proceed diligently
to zone the newly annexed territory following
a public hearing, due notice of which has been
given in accordance with established procedure.
SECTION 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist, and
this ordinance being necessary for the preservation of the public
peace, health and safety shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
