AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN
LANDS LOCATED WITHIN SECTION TEN (10), TOWNSHIP ONE
(1) NORTH, RANGE THIRTEEN (13) WEST TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
entered its Order on January 14, 1981, upon the Petition of
A. Dan Phillips and Dace Corporation, Dace Corporation being
the owner of all the property affected, after due notice of
hearing on said Petition for the time and in the manner
prescribed by law, ordering the annexation to the City of
Little Rock of the following described lands located in
Pulaski County, Arkansas:
All of that part of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4, Section
10, Township 1 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, lying North and West of the
right -of -way of Interstate Route No. 430 and
East of the right -of -way of Shackleford Road
being more particularly described as: Starting
at the Southwest corner of the SW 1/4 NW 1/4,
Section 10, Township 1 North, Range 13 West;
thence North 02 degrees 09 minutes East on the
West line of said SW 1/4 NW 1/4, 676.3 feet;
thence South 88 degrees 05 minutes 09 seconds
East, 35.6 feet to the point of beginning; thence
South 31 degrees 06 minutes 40 seconds East, 119.3
feet; thence South 08 degrees 57 minutes 30
seconds East, 259.3 feet; thence South 88 degrees
44 minutes East, 85.4 feet; thence North 44
degrees 51 minutes 35 seconds East, 494.7 feet;
thence North 27 degrees 28 minutes 58 seconds
East, 412.7 feet; thence North 17 degrees 51
• minutes 37 seconds East, 248.2 feet to the North
line of the E 1/2 SW 1/4 NW 1/4, Section 10;
thence North 88 degrees 32 minutes West on said
North line, 155.00 feet to the Northwest corner of
said E 1/2 SW 1/4 NW 1/4; thence North 88 degrees
06 minutes West on the North line of the W 1/2
SW 1/4 NW 1/4, 623.69 feet; thence South 02 degrees
28 minutes West, 618.14 feet to the point of
beginning containing 11.85 acres more or less.
The land hereinabove described includes all of
Block 2 and portions of Blocks 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6
in VANGUARD ADDITION to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, together with strips of land which were
platted as streets and alleyways therein, the plat
of Vanguard Addition to Little Rock having been
cancelled and the lands platted therein reduced
to an acreage description as shown by an Order
entered in the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, on May 7, 1971, recorded in Book 68,
Page 41 of the records of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
and adjoining and abutting streets and rights -of -way. _
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since
the entry of said Order of the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, and no person, firm or corporation has instituted
any proceeding in the Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
or elsewhere, to prevent such annexation, and no protestants
have appeared and no notice given to the authorities of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas, of any attempt to vacate, re-
view, set aside or appeal from the said Order of the County
Court; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to
and adjoin the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
acting through this Board of Directors, does hereby approve
the annexation of, and does hereby accept and make a part of
the incorporated area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
all of the lands described hereinabove in this Ordinance.
