ORDINANCE NO. 13,966
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS AND MAKING SAME A PART OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas by the owners of the hereinafter described lands praying
that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas: and
WHEREAS, on N.oyeMbeX 24, 1980, the County Court of Pulaski County,
Arkansas found that the petition was signed by a majority of the total
number of real property owners in said area proposed to be annexed and by
the owners of more than one -half of the acreage of said area; that said
lands are contiguous and adjoining the present corporate limits of the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate map of said lands had been
filed with and made a part of said petition; that property notice had been
given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law; and that all things
pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law and that
said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, subject to acceptance of same by the Board of Directors of said
city at the proper time as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of
annexation made by the Pulaski County Court has expired and no appeal
has been taken from said order.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following described lands contiguous to and adjoining
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas be and same are hereby accepted as part
of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas; to -wit:
Part of the NE-I, Section 9, T -1 -N,
R -13 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, described as:
Beginning at the SW corner of the NE4,
Sec. 9; thence N 1659'26 "E along the West
line of said NE-I, 1332.73; thence
S 87048'06 "E 166.1'; thence N 2045'00 "E
1285.10' to the South R/W of Kanis Road;
thence S 87010'02 "E along said South R /W,
2313.68'; thence S 50052'31 "E 54.80' to the
West R/W of Shackleford Road; thence
S 2007'00 "W along said West R/W 928.251;
thence continuing along said West R /W.
S 0031'34 "E 72.58'; thence S 0031134 "E along
said West R/W 252.77'; thence S 207'0 "W
along said West R/W 287.50'; thence
S 2007'00 "W along said West R /W, 409.201 ;
thence continue along said West R /W,
S 30052'38 "W 65.39' to its intersection
with the North R/W of Peach Tree Drive;
thence along said North R/W on a curve to
the left having a chord bearing and
distance of S 60036'11 "W 243.99'; thence
S 32058'30 "W 117.75'; thence on a curve
to the right having a chord bearing and
distance of S 40000'30 "W 90.61; thence
S 47002'28 "W 125.07'; thence on a curve
to the right having a chord bearing and
distance of S 55041'24 "W 81.20'; thence
S 64020'17 "W along the North R/W of
Peach Tree Drive, 257.46' to its inter-
section with the South line of the NE47
Section 9; thence N 87036'49 "W along
said South line 1812.70' to the point of
beginning, containing 142.60 acres, more
or less.

All public rights -of -way adjacent to the above described lands.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
