AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF
$200,000 FROM THE APPROPRIATION OF REVENUE
SHARING FUNDS ALLOCATED IN CATEGORY C OF
SCHEDULE II OF THE 1980 BUDGET AND AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO GOODMAN
ENGINEERS, INC. FOR RENOVATION OF THE POLICE
BUILDING HEATING, VENTILATING AND AIR
CONDITIONING SYSTEMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the heating, ventilating and air conditioning
systems in the Police Building have been determined to be
inadequate; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the heating, ventilating, air
conditioning system study of the Police Building by Goodman
Engineers, Inc. in September 1979, the City budgeted
$200,000 in Category C of Schedule II of the Revenue Sharing
Funds for renovation of the system; and
WHEREAS, Goodman Engineers, Inc. has been selected to
provide services for the renovation project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. $200,000 is hereby authorized for
expenditure from the appropriation of Revenue Sharing Funds
allocated in Category C of Schedule II of the 1980 Budget.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
award a contract to Goodman, Engineers, Inc. for the
renovation of the Police Building heating, ventilating and
air conditioning system.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
