WHEREAS: Burl C. Rotenberry has been a member
of the Little Rock Police Department for more than
twenty years; And has been Chief of the Department
for more than eleven years, and
WHEREAS: Burl C. Rotenberry through all his
twenty years of service has been an honest, concientious,
capable and fearless officer, and
WHEREAS: Burl C. Rotenberry has built up the
Little Rock Police Department, from a fe..• men to a fine
organization of law enforcement officers, that is ?ation-
ally known for courtesey, efficiency and honesty, and
WHEREAS: Burl C. Rotenberry has resigned as Chief
of Police of the City of Little Rock.
NOW THEREFORE, Be it Resolved, that the City Council
of the City of Little Rock regrets the retirement of
Burl C. Rotenberry, whoa we consider to be the.best Chief
the Department has ever had, and offers to him our sin-
cere thanks for his many years of exceptional service,
and express to him our continued confidence in him and
our good wishes for his future health and happiness.
