R E S O L U T I O N
NO. 1220.
WHEREAS, The City owns a beautiful park which is used
jointly by the citizens of the City and the entire State
for the State Fair; and
WHEREAS, the City has provided grounds for a Municipal
Golf Course situated in this park and it is known that golf
is a wholesome recreation and of great benefit to those
participating therein, and in order that the City may do
its part towards furthering this sport and recreation,
Now, THEREFORE, Be it resolved that a Municipal Golf Course
Coir.lission be appointed, composed of the following citizens:
Walter J. Terry, Chairman,
J. Curran Conway, Secy.—Treas. ,
John P . Baird,
Henry G. Leiser,
Tom Booth,
E . N . Pettit , and
A. C. Jones,
and that this Commission have charge of the Municipal Golf
Course and from time to time submit recommendations to the
City Council for the improvement of said course.
