RESOLUTION. N0. 1230.
1 E IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COTT CIL OF THE
CITY OF TITTLE ROCK :
Section 1. That the Clerk of this City be required
to publish in some newspaper published in the City of Little
Rock and having a bona fide cirfulation therein the following
notice, which shall be published once a week until the day
fixed for the sale, the first publication to be at least twenty
(20) days before said date:
NOTICE OF BOND SALE.
notice is hereby riven that on the /3 - daly of October,
1929, the City of Little Rock, "rka nsas , will offer for sale
for cash on sealed bids, to be opened at twelve o'clock, Noon,
at the office of its 1,Tayor, Five Hundred and Fifty -five '-;'housand
Dollars (9"555,000) of improvement bonds issued for the following
purposes:
Xor the purchase of a site for construction and equip -
went of a municipal airport, 5;'200,000;
For the purchase of fire f i;;hti ng apparatus and fire
alarm systeri,390,000;
For the construction of an addition to thc- Little Hock
General Hospital and the purchase of equipment for said Hospital,
955,000;
Said bonds to be dated i ovember 1, 1929, and to mature

Said bonds will be sold to the party who will pay par
for bonds bearing the la,;,est rate of interest. No rate for a
fraction of 1/'0)', other than -�, .� or 3/4, will be considered; but
the bids maSr be for par plus a premium.

The City will. furnish the printed bonds and the
opinion of Rose, Hemingway, Ca.ntreli_ & Louc;hboi,ough approving
their legality.
The City reserve's the right to reject any and all
bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check for V5,000,
pa;•able to the City of Little Rock, to be its liquidated damages
if the bidder fails to make his bid good.

Section S. It is ascertained and hereby declared that
the purchase of fire- fihting apparatus and the installation of a
fire alarm system are essential to the preservation of the public
safety; that the addition to the City General ,Hospital and the
purchase of equipment for said Hospital are essential to the pub-
lic health; and that the acquisition and improvement of a proper
airport is essential to the public safety; and an emergency is
therefore declared, and it is resolved that for the preservation
of the public health and safety this resolution shall take effect
and be in force immediately upon its passage.
