3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH NORTH POINT FORD, IN THE TOTAL
5 AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED THIRTY -THREE THOUSAND, SIX
6 HUNDRED SIXTY -EIGHT DOLLARS ($333,668.00), FOR THE
7 PURCHASE OF EIGHTEEN (18) FORD F -150 PICK -UP TRUCKS AND
8 FOUR (4) FORD F -250 PICK -UP TRUCKS, FOR USE BY HOUSING AND
9 NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMS, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
10 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fleet Services Department is in need of eighteen (18) Ford F -150 Pick -
13 Up Trucks and four (4) Ford F -250 Pick -Up Trucks to replace older units which have high mileage and
14 maintenance expenses and to provide transportation for newly hired staff; and,
15 WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City Fleet Services can
16 purchase eighteen (18) Ford F -150 Pick -Up Trucks, at a cost of Fourteen Thousand, Six Hundred Seventy
17 Dollars ($14,670.00) each, and four (4) Ford F -250 Pick -Up Trucks, at a cost of Seventeen Thousand,
18 Four Hundred Two Dollars ($17,402.00) each, for a total cost of Three Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand,
19 Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($333,668.00);
20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
21 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
22 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
23 North Point Ford for the purchase of eighteen (18) Ford F -150 Pick -Up Trucks and four (4) Ford F -250
24 Pick -Up Trucks for Housing and Neighborhood Programs, utilizing the Arkansas State Contract, for the
25 total amount of Three Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, Six Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars ($333,668.00)
26 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the 3/8¢ Capital Sales Tax.
27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
31 resolution.
32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
