3 A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR COMMERCIAL
4 TRASH AND RECYCLING FOR CITY FACILITIES; AND FOR OTHER
5 PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, Bids were solicited for Commercial Trash and Recycling Collection Contract for City
8 Facilities, Bid No. C 12006; and
9 WHEREAS, Waste Management, Inc., was the lowest responsive, responsible bid meeting
10 specifications in the amount of Sixty-Three Thousand, Sixty-Two Dollars and 16/100 ($63,062.16), first
11 year costs;
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
13 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Waste Management,
15 Inc. for Bid No. C12006, in the amount of Sixty-Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and
16 38/100 ($69,368.38) (Bid Price of Sixty-Three Thousand, Sixty-Two Dollars and 16/100 ($63,062.16),
17 plus 10% contingency), first year costs.
18 Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to extend the contract period each year for two
19 (2) additional years and to adjust the contract amount by the percent change in the Consumer Price Index
20 (CPI) if agreeable to both parties.
21 Section 3. Funding for this project is from Account No. 101002- 63202.
22 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
23 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
25 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
26 resolution.

Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 6. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
