RESOLUTION NO. 13,501
A RESOLUTION TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO REDSTONE
CONSTRUCTION GROUP, INC., FOR STREET RESURFACING
WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Street resurfacing improvements are needed within the City of Little Rock to maintain
existing asphalt streets; and,
WHEREAS, citizens of the City of Little Rock approved a sales tax increase which provided funding
for these resurfacing improvements; and,
WHEREAS, Redstone Construction Group, Inc., submitted the lowest bid (Bid number 12236)
meeting specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Redstone
Construction Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed Two Million, Six Hundred Ninety-Four Thousand,
Three Hundred Seven Dollars and 21/100 ($2,694,307.21) (Two Million, Two Hundred Forty-Five
Thousand, Two Hundred Fifty -Six Dollars and 01 /100 ($2,245,256.01), plus 20% contingency).
Section 2. Funding for this project is available from funding provided by a sales tax increase
approved by citizens of the City of Little Rock.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with
the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
