3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH LANDERS DODGE JEEP, IN THE
5 AMOUNT OF EIGHTY THOUSAND, FORTY DOLLARS ($80,040.00),
6 FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR (4) TRUCKS FOR THE PARKS AND
7 RECREATION DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE
8 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is in need of four (4) trucks to replace older units
which have extremely high mileage and maintenance expenses; and
WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City Fleet Services Department
can purchase four (4) Dodge Ram 2500 pick -up trucks from Landers Dodge Jeep for Twenty Thousand,
Ten Dollars ($20,010.00) each, for a total of Eighty Thousand, Forty Dollars ($80,040.00);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
Landers Dodge Jeep for the purchase of four (4) Dodge Ram 2500 pick -up trucks, utilizing the Arkansas
State Contract, for the total amount of Eighty Thousand, Forty Dollars ($80,040.00).
Section 2. Funds for purchase of three (3) trucks, totaling Sixty Thousand, Thirty Dollars
($60,030.00), are allocated in the 2012 Fleet Capital Fund received from the 3/8 -Cent Sales Tax; and
funds for one (1)- truck, in the amount of Twenty Thousand, Ten Dollars ($20,010.00), are allocated in the
2012 Short -Term Financing Project.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
