HomeMy WebLinkAbout134901 RESOLUTION NO. 13,490 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH FISER TRUCK & TRACTOR, INC., IN THE 5 AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SEVENTEEN THOUSAND, NINE 6 HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS ($117,990.00), FOR THE PURCHASE OF 7 TEN (10) BAD BOY MOWERS, FOR USE BY THE PARKS AND 8 RECREATION DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE ARKANSAS STATE 9 PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department is in need of ten (10) mowers to replace older units which have extremely high operating hours and maintenance expenses; and WHEREAS, by utilizing the Arkansas State Purchasing Contract, the City's Fleet Services Department can purchase ten (10) Bad Boy mowers with seventy -two (72) -inch cutting deck, at a cost of Eleven Thousand, Seven Hundred Ninety -Nine Dollars ($11,499.00) each; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with Fiser Truck & Tractor, Inc. for the purchase of ten (10) mowers for the Parks and Recreation Department, utilizing the Arkansas State Contract, for the total amount of One Hundred Seventeen Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety Dollars ($114,990.00). Section 2. Funds for six (6) mowers are allocated in the 2012 Short-Term Financing Project, from the 3/8 -Cent Sales Tax, with funds for four (4) mowers being allocated in the 2012 Fleet Annual Operating Fund, financed from the 5/8 -Cent Sales Tax. Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
