HomeMy WebLinkAbout134851 RESOLUTION NO. 13,485 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH FLEMING ELECTRIC, INC., TO PROVIDE 5 ELECTRICAL REPAIRS ON AN AS- NEEDED BASIS; AND FOR OTHER 6 PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, an invitation to bid on an annual contract, under Bid No. C 12004, was issued to provide 9 overflow electrical repairs on an hourly basis as needed, and Fleming Electric, Inc., submitted quotations 10 at Forty-Two Dollars and 501100 ($42.50) per hour labor for a Master Electrician, Forty-Two Dollars and 11 50 /100 ($42.50) per hour labor for a Journeyman Electrician, Thirty-Eight Dollars and 50/100 ($38.50) 12 per hour labor for an Apprentice Electrician; and, 13 WHEREAS, the initial term of the contract will be one (l) -year and may be extended for an 14 additional two (2), one (1) -year periods, upon agreement of the parties; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 18 Fleming Electric, Inc., to provide overflow electrical repairs on an hourly basis as needed, at the rate of 19 Forty-Two Dollars and 501100 ($42.50) per hour labor for a Master Electrician, Forty-Two Dollars and 20 50 /100 ($42.50) per hour labor for a Journeyman Electrician, Thirty-Eight Dollars and 50 /100 ($38.50) 21 per hour labor for an Apprentice Electrician, with the initial term of the contract being one (1) -year from 22 date of award, which may be extended for an additional two (2), one (1) -year periods upon agreement of 23 the parties. 24 Section 2. Funds are available from Building Services Operating Budget. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
