HomeMy WebLinkAbout14109ORDINANCE NO. 14,109 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME P PART OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk of Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of the hereinafter described lands, praying that said lands be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; and WHEREAS, on July 27, 1981, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition was signed by a majority of the owners in area and in number of the following described lands located in Pulaski County, Arkansas; that said lands are contiguous and adjoining the present corporate limits of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; that an accurate plat or map of said lands had been filed with and made a part of said petition; that proper notice had been given for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, and that all things pertaining thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law, and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, subject to the acceptance of same by the Board of Directors of said City at the proper time as provided by law; and WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from said order of annexation made by the County Court has expired and no appeal has been taken from said order. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. That the following described lands contiguous to and adjoininq the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, be, and the same are hereby, accepted as part of and annexed to and made a part of the City of Little Rock: The following described area, all _ lyinq wholly within Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit: A tract of land located in the north 1/2, Section 8, T -1 -N, R -11 -W, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as: Starting at the cxuarter corner between Section 7 and 8, T -1 -N, R -11 -W; thence north 88° 15' east along the centerline of Fourche Dam Pike, 903.7 feet to a point; thence north 86* 12' east along the centerline of Fourche Dam Pike, 213.5 feet to a point; thence north 3° 00' west, 1,100.3 feet to the point of beginning in the southwest corner of the property herein described; thence continue north 3° 00' west, 1467.5 feet to a point; thence south 60° 11' east, 2912.7 feet to a point; thence south 37° 14' west, 879.9 feet to a point; thence north 54° 09' west, 1061.4 feet to a point; thence north 86° 39' west, 1059.6 feet to the point of beginning, containing 55.556 acres, more or less. AND That part of the SW 1/4 and that part of the SE 1/4 of Section 21, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, lying northwesterly of the northwesterly right -of -way line of Interstate Highway #30. AND That part of the east 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of Section 21, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, lying northerly of the northerly right -of -way line of Interstate Highway #30. AND That part of the south 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 22, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, lying northerly of the northerly right -of -way line of Interstate Highway #30 and westerly of the Hot Springs Branch of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad Company riqht -of -way. AND The north 1/2, NE 1/4, NW 1/4, Section 22; the north 1/2, SE 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 15; LESS AND EXCEPT that part thereof lying north of the C.R.I. & P.R.R. Co., more particularly described in Deed Record 93, Page 299, LESS AND EXCEPT the west 5 acres thereof being more particularly described in Deed Record 60, Page 293, and LESS AND EXCEPT the east part thereof, more particularly described in Deed Record 281, Page 80; south 1/2, SE 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 15, T -1 -N, R -12 -W, LESS AND EXCEPT a part thereof described in Deed Record 281, Page 80; all of the above lands being in T -1 -N, R -12 -W, containing 54.28 acres more or less. NOTE: Exceptions mentioned above in Deed Record 281, Page 80, is for right -of -way for Arch Street Overpass over the C.R.I. & P.R.R. AND Part of the SW 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 15, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of Section 15; thence run south 870 45' east, a distance of 862.16 feet to a point; thence north 0° 44' east, a distance of 606.45 feet along railroad right -of -way to a point which is the C.R.I. & P.R.R. riqht- of -wav line; thence westerly along the railroad riqht -of -way to a point on the west line of Section 15, T -1 -N, R -12 -W; thence south 2° 15' west, a distance of 544.8 feet to the point of beginning, containing 11.7 acres more or less. AND Beginning at a point of intersection of the south boundary line of the riqht -of -way of the Little Rock and Hot Springs Railroad as now surveyed and located upon and over said SE 1/4, SW 1/4, and the west boundary line of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4; thence in a northeasterly direction along said south boundary of said right -of -wav line of Little Rock and Hot Sprinas Railroad to the point where said boundary line of said right -of -way intersects with the south boundary line of the right -of -way line of the Choctaw and Memphis Railroad as now surveyed and located upon and over said SE 1/4, SW 1/4; thence continuing in a northeasterly direction along said south boundary line of said right -of -wav line of said C. & M. R.R. to the point of intersection of said east boundary line of the C. & M. R. R., and the north boundary line of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4 of said Section 15; thence east along the said north boundary line of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4 to a point on said north boundary line 47 rods east of the NW corner of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4 of said Section 15; thence south parallel with the west boundary line of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4, Section 15, 20 rods; thence due west parallel to the north boundary line of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4, a distance of 47 rods to the west boundary of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4 to a point on said west boundary 20 rods south of the Northwest corner of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4, to a ooint on said west boundary 20 rods south of the southwest corner of said SE 1/4, SW 1/4; thence north along said west boundary line to where it intersects the south boundary line of the aforesaid right -of -way line of the Little Rock and Hot Springs Railroad, being the point of beginning, said tract herein described containing 5 acres more or less. URE All parcels described herein are to include all adjacent and abutting streets and riqhts -of -way.
