WHEREAS, in furtherance of the 12`h Street Police Station Project, the City of Little Roc
additional property facing 13`h Street, including Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of Block 6 of the W.B. Worthen
Addition — with the exception of the south 1/3 of Lots 1 and 2 (1308 South Pine Street) which was owned
by a different individual; and
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department negotiated a price of Forty-Nine Thousand, Nine
Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($49,995.00) for the purchase of 1308 South Pine Street in order to
complete the needed 13`h Street parcel; and
WHEREAS, a recent Phase I Environmental Site Assessment for 1308 South Pine Street indicated
that there were no environmental hazards except asbestos in a metal building that will be dismantled and
removed from the property by the current owner; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors finds that the purchase of this property is important to the 12`h
Street Police Station Project and, therefore, is beneficial to the general welfare of the citizens of the City
of Little Rock.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the purchase of property identified as 1308
South Pine Street, and more particularly described in Attachment "A" to this resolution, for Forty-Nine
Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety Five Dollars ($49,995.00) and hereby authorizes the expenditure of an
amount not to exceed Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00) for document preparation, recording fees and
closing costs.
Section 2. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager, Mayor and City Clerk to
execute any documents necessary and take other actions needed to purchase the property for use as part of
the 12`h Street Police Station Project.

Section 3. Funds for this purchase are available in the Little Rock Police Department's 12`h Street
Police Station Project account.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such 'nconsistency.
