RESOLUTION NO. 13,470
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH STEVE LANDERS DODGE, FOR THE
PURCHASE OF THIRTY -SIX (36) PURSUIT -RATED VEHICLES FOR
THE LITTLE ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, UTILIZING THE
ARKANSAS STATE PURCHASING CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Police Department is in need of thirty -six (36) pursuit -rated vehicles, a
portion of which will replace older units which have extremely high mileage and maintenance costs and a
portion to be additional units to be added to the Police fleet; and
WHEREAS, these thirty-six (36) vehicles can be purchased from Steve Landers Dodge for Eight
Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty-Two Dollars ($815,842.00), utilizing the Arkansas State
Purchasing Contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
Steve Landers Dodge for the purchase of thirty-six (36) pursuit -rated vehicles, utilizing the Arkansas
State Contract, for the amount of Eight Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty-Two Dollars
($815,842.00).
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in the Police Capital Fund.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsi71cy.
