HomeMy WebLinkAbout13469I RESOLUTION NO. 13,469 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 4 NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT WITH CENTURY 21, UNITED TO 5 PROVIDE REAL ESTATE SERVICES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF 6 HOUSING & NEIGHBORHOOD PROGRAMS NSP2 PROGRAM; AND 7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, as a part of the City of Little Rock's Neighborhood Stabilization Program 2, the City 10 has acquired, constructed, and rehabilitated twelve (12) properties that are ready to be listed and sold to 11 low to moderate income families; and 12 WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is imperative that a real estate agent be involved in the 13 marketing and listing of these properties in order that they will be sold before the end of the NSP2 14 Program; 15 WHEREAS, in an effort to maximize the City's revitalization efforts, the Housing & Neighborhood 16 Programs Department requests approval for the City Manager to negotiate a contract with Century 21, 17 United, to provide detailed, accurate and extensive real estate services, which will increase the 18 marketability of prospective properties to be sold by the City of Little Rock's NSP2 Program; 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1: The Board of Directors does hereby authorize the City Manager to negotiate a contract 22 with Century 21, United, to provide detailed, accurate and extensive real estate services which will 23 increase the marketability of prospective properties to be sold by the City of Little Rock's NSP2 Program. 24 Section 2. Funding will be provided by the NSP2 Grant. 25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 29 resolution. 30 Section 4. Repealer.
