RESOLUTION NO. 13,452
3 A RESOLUTION TO APPOINT THE ROSE LAW FIRM AS LEGAL
4 COUNSEL TO ASSIST WITH THE ISSUANCE OF EIGHTEEN
5 MILLION FIVE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLARS
6 ($18,580,000) IN SHORT -TERM FINANCING NOTES; AND FOR OTHER
7 PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City has decided pursuant to Little Rock, Ark., Ordinance No. 20,545 (February 7,
10 2012) to issue Eighteen Million, Five Hundred and Eighty Thousand Dollars ($ 18,580,000.00) of short -
i t term debt to finance the purchase of certain items; and,
12 WHEREAS, a committee has reviewed the competitive qualification proposals of three (3) law firms
13 and determined that the Rose Law Firm is the most qualified to assist with the issuance of this debt, and
14 to fulfill other obligations of the City;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with the Rose Law Firm to
18 serve as legal counsel for the issuance of short -term financing instruments pursuant to Little Rock, Ark.,
19 Ordinance No. 20,545 (February 7, 2011).
20 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 ordinance.
25 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
26 with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
