RESOLUTION NO. 13,460
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF NINETY (90)- GALLON
SOLID WASTE CONTAINERS AND ISSUE AN ANNUAL PURCHASE
ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL CARTS, AS NEEDED; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department must periodically purchase new
solid waste containers for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts, and
meet the demand for additional carts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the containers, and the lowest
responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications for Bid #C12002 was received from
Cascade Engineering, in the amount of Forty-Six Dollars and Ninety -Six Cents ($46.96) plus tax per
container;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract for the
purchase of ninety (90)- gallon Solid Waste Containers from Cascade Engineering, for the amount of
Forty-Six Dollars and Ninety -Six Cents ($46.96) plus tax per container, and to issue an annual purchase
order for additional carts as needed.
Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603110- 60170.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
