3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH XCON, INC., FOR PARK IMPROVEMENTS
5 IN PROSPECT TERRACE PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, Prospect Terrace Neighborhood Association has supported the effort to renovate the
8 park for several years through having fundraisers in the park, donating time to work on removal of
9 overgrown vegetation, and overall park cleanup; and
10 WHEREAS, Bid #11252 was held to obtain bids for park improvements in Prospect Terrace Park,
11 and J -Con, Inc., submitted the most responsive and responsible bid in the amount of One Hundred
12 Twenty -Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($129,780.00);
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
14 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
15 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with J -Con, Inc., for park
16 improvements in Prospect Terrace Park, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty -Nine
17 Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty Dollars ($129,780.00).
18 Section 2. The funds for the contract are available from the 2008 Little Rock Parks and Recreation
19 Revenue Bonds.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances, resolutions, bylaws, and other matters inconsistent with this
26 resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
