HomeMy WebLinkAbout134491 RESOLUTION NO. 13,449 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH TYMCO, INC., FOR THE PURCHASE OF 5 TWO (2) REGENERATIVE AIR STREET SWEEPERS FOR THE PUBLIC 6 WORKS STREET OPERATIONS DIVISION, UTILIZING THE 7 HOUSTON - GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL COOPERATIVE 8 CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Public Works Street Operations Division needs to replace two (2) older model 11 Regenerative Air street sweepers which are requiring excessive maintenance costs and down time; and, 12 WHEREAS, the staff recommends the purchase of two (2) Regenerative Air street sweepers from 13 Tymco, Inc., utilizing the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Contract, which will provide the 14 optimal pricing and delivery options for this purchase; 15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with 18 Tymco, Inc., utilizing the Houston - Galveston Area Council Cooperative Contract, for the purchase of 19 two (2) Regenerative Air street sweepers, one (1) Model 600 for One Hundred Sixty -Eight Thousand, 20 Eight Hundred and Sixty -Seven Dollars ($168,867.00) and one (1) Model 500x for Two Hundred 21 Fourteen Thousand, Five Hundred and Five Dollars ($214,505.00), for the total amount of Three Hundred 22 Eighty -Three Thousand, Three Hundred Seventy -Two Dollars ($383,372.00). 23 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are allocated in 2011 Short-Term Financing. 24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 27 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 28 resolution. 29 Section 4. Repealer.
