3 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE A PLANNED ZONING
4 DEVELOPMENT AND ESTABLISH A PLANNED COMMERCIAL
5 DISTRICT TITLED VELVATEX BEAUTY COLLEGE REVISED
6 SHORT -FORM PCD (Z- 8295 -A), LOCATED AT 1520 DR. MARTIN
7 LUTHER KING, JR., DRIVE, LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AMENDING
8 THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
9 ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. That the zoning classification of the following described properly be changed from PCD
14 to Revised PCD:
15 Lots 7 and 8 and the South 10 feet of Lot 9, Block 25, Centennial Addition to the City of
16 Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas.
17 Section 2. That the approval of Velvatex Beauty College Revised Short-Form PCD (Z- 8295 -A),
18 located at 1520 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Drive, is subject to compliance with the following additional
19 conditions:
20 That the preliminary site development plan /plat be approved as submitted, including all
21 staff comments and conditions as outlined in the Planning Commission Agenda Staff
22 Report in paragraphs D, E, F and including any conditions indicated in the staff analysis
23 in paragraph H and subject to additional conditions imposed at the Planning Commission
24 Public Hearing as amended by the applicant.
25 Section 3. That the preliminary site development plan/plat be approved as recommended by the
26 Little Rock Planning Commission.
27 Section 4. That the change in zoning classification contemplated for Velvatex Beauty College
28 Revised Short-Form PCD (Z- 8295 -A), located at 1520 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.,, Drive, is conditioned
29 upon obtaining a final plan approval within the time specified by Chapter 36, Art' ction 36 -454
J.

31 Section 5. That the map referred to in Chapter 36 of the Code of ddirvands, of the City 'Little

Section 6. That this ordinance shall not take effect and be in full force until the final approval of the
plan.
Section 7. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
ordinance.
Section 8. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
