3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO RENEW
4 THE EXISTING CONTRACT WITH ASSOCIATES CLOSING & TITLE,
5 DB /A RDI RECORDS, LLC, FOR TITLE SEARCH AND COMMITMENT
6 SERVICES FOR PROPERTIES ACQUIRED BY THE LAND BANK; AND
7 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 12, 990, the Board of Directors authorized the City Manager
10 to negotiate a contract with Associates Closing & Title, d /b /a RDI Records, LLC, to conduct title searches
11 and issue title commitments for the procurement of property acquisitions by the Land Bank.
12 WHEREAS, the City Manager subsequently executed a one (1) -year contract for title services with
13 Associates Closing & Title, d /b /a RDI Records, LLC on June 25, 2009.
14 WHEREAS, the contract for title services included an option to renew the contract for title services
15 for one (1) -year upon approval by the Little Rock Board of Directors.
16 WHEREAS, City Staff would like to exercise the contractual option to extend the contract for title
17 services with Associates & Title, d /b /a RDI Records, LLC until June 25, 2011.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
19 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the renewal of the contract for title services with
21 Associates Closing & Title, d /b /a RDI Records, LLC until June 25, 2011.
22 Section 2. Funding was originally approved in the 2006 and 2007 Consolidated Plans for this
23 purpose.
24 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
25 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
26 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
27 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
28 ordinance.
29 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with
30 the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
