RESOLUTION NO. 13,273
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH BIG TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT COMPANY
TO PURCHASE A USED STREET SWEEPER FOR THE PUBLIC
WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department needs to purchase a used Street Sweeper for the Public
Works Department, Street Operations Division, to replace one that was totally destroyed by fire; and
WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of a Street Sweeper and the most responsible and
responsive bid was received from Big Truck and Equipment Company, in the amount of Fifty -Five
Thousand Fifty -Five Dollars ($55,055.00);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Big Truck and
Equipment Company for the purchase of a used Street Sweeper, for the amount of Fifty -Five Thousand
Fifty -Five Dollars ($55,055.00).
Section 2. Funding will be provided with $44,000.00 being insurance proceeds from Arkansas
Municipal League and the remainder from the Fleet Services Special Funds Account.
Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repeated to the extent of such inconsistency.
Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
resolution.
