3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH NETWORK INNOVATIONS IN THE
5 AMOUNT $51,840 TO PURCHASE TEN (10) FIXED SATELLITE
6 RADIOS THROUGH THE STATE COOPERATIVE PURCHASING
7 PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the Little Rock City Manager's Office /Emergency Management Division is
10 committed to improving interoperable communications throughout the Division, and
11 WHEREAS, the Emergency Management Division proposes to purchase ten (10) fixed
12 satellite radios for strategic placement throughout the City to be used in the event of catastrophic
13 communications system failure; and
14 WHEREAS, the purchase of these fixed satellite radios is covered under an existing State
15 Contract for ease of purchasing and to obtain the best possible price in the amount of Fifty -One
16 Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty Dollars ($51,840.00);
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Network
20 Innovations for the purchase of ten (10) fixed satellite radios, in the estimated amount of Fifty -
21 One Thousand, Eight Hundred Forty Dollars ($51,840), pursuant to the State Purchasing
22 Contract,.
23 Section 2. The State Homeland Security Grant Program will provide 100% of the funds for
24 this purchase with no fiscal impact upon the City of Little Rock.
25 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
26 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
27 inconsistency.
28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
29 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
30 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
31 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
