3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A
4 CONTRACT WITH JCON, INC., FOR REPAIR OF THE LITTLE ROCK
5 POLICE DEPARTMENT RANGE BERM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, FEMA has approved the project to repair the storm damages sustained to the Little
8 Rock Police Department firing range protective berm, and
9 WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid was received from JCON, INC., in the
10 amount of Fifty -Three Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($53,625.00);
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
12 OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
13 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a contract with
14 JCON, INC., for repair of the storm damages sustained to the Little Rock Police Department firing range
15 protective berm, in the amount of Fifty -Three Thousand, Six Hundred Twenty -Five Dollars ($53,625.00),
16 ($48,750.00 plus 10% contingency).
17 Section 2. Funding for this project will be Fifteen Thousand, Five Hundred Five Dollars
18 ($15,505.00) from FEMA Disaster Recovery Grant Project, and Thirty -Eight Thousand, One Hundred
19 Twenty Dollars ($38,120.00) from Police Seized Assets funds.
20 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph,- item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
21 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
22 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
23 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
24 resolution.
25 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
26 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
