3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
5 & MAINTENANCE COMPANY, INC., FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL
6 INSTALLATIONS AT TAYLOR LOOP ROAD AND HINSON ROAD AND
7 TAYLOR LOOP ROAD AND RAHLING ROAD; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Public Works Traffic Engineering has determined that the intersections of
11 Taylor Loop Road and Hinson Road and Taylor Loop Road and Rahling Road meet the warrants
12 and criteria for signal installations; and
13 WHEREAS, Bid #2010 -232 was issued for the installation of traffic signals at these two
14 intersections, and the most responsible and responsive bid was received from Construction
15 Management & Maintenance Company, Inc., in the amount of One Hundred Thirty -Two
16 Thousand Dollars ($132,000.00), which is $120,000.00, plus 10% contingencies;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Construction
20 Management & Maintenance Company, Inc., for the construction services for traffic signal
21 installations, in the amount of One Hundred Thirty -Two Thousand Dollars ($132,000.00), which
22 is $120,000.00, plus 10% contingencies.
23 Section 2. Funding for this project is available from Special Project Account: 205409
24 S4013477.
25 Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
26 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
27 inconsistency.
28 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
29 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
30 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
31 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
