HomeMy WebLinkAbout131311 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 RESOLUTION NO. 13,131 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO PURCHASE TWENTY -EIGHT (28) HVAC UNITS FROM J & B SUPPLY FOR THE BUILDING SERVICES DIVISION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the Building Services Division of the Public Works Department needs twenty -eight (28) HVAC units to purchase energy efficient equipment to replace old less efficient units, and WHEREAS, bids were received for the purchase of twenty -eight (28) HVAC units, and the most responsible and responsive bid was received from J & B Supply, in the amount of One Hundred Forty - One Thousand, Seventy Hundred Twenty -Four Dollars ($141,724.00) plus tax; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with J & B Supply for the purchase of twenty -eight (28) HVAC units, in the amount of One Hundred Forty-One Thousand, Seventy Hundred Twenty -Four Dollars ($141,724.00) plus tax. Section 2. Funds for this purchase are available from the Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant (EECBG) Account #270129- G030132R. Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
