HomeMy WebLinkAbout131231 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 13,123 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH PRO -FIRE EQUIPMENT, LLC, FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIREFIGHTING PROTECTIVE COATS AND PANTS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, certain protective clothing is required in order to provide the best protection possible for the uniformed personnel of the Little Rock Fire Department while fighting fires and performing rescues, and WHEREAS, Pro -Fire Equipment, LLC, submitted the most responsible and responsive bid for an annual contract to provide protective coats and pants for the uniformed Little Rock Fire Department personnel, at a cost of $1,160.70 for coats and $820.56 for pants, and WHEREAS, this will be an annual contract, renewable for two (2) years, upon agreement of both parties; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an annual contract with Pro -Fire Equipment, LLC, to provide approximately eighty (80) sets of protective coats and pants for all uniformed personnel of the Little Rock Fire Department, at a cost of $1,160.70 for coats and $820.56 for pants. Section 2. This annual contract will be renewable for two (2) years, upon agreement of both parties. Section 3. Funds for this purchase are available in the Little Rock Fire Department's general budget. Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution. Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
