3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO THOUSAND
5 EIGHTY -EIGHT (2,088) NINETY -SIX (96)- GALLON SOLID WASTE
6 CONTAINERS AND ISSUE A ONE (1) -YEAR ANNUAL PURCHASE
7 ORDER FOR ADDITIONAL CARTS, IF NEEDED; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, Solid Waste Division must periodically purchase new solid waste containers
11 for delivery to new customers, replace stolen carts, replace damaged carts, and meet the demand
12 for additional carts, and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock received bids for the purchase of the containers, and the
14 lowest responsible and responsive bid meeting minimum specifications was received from
15 Cascade Engineering, in the amount of Eighty -Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty -Four
16 Dollars ($89,784.00).
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
18 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a
20 contract for the purchase of two thousand eighty -eight (2,088) ninety -six (96)- gallon Solid Waste
21 Containers from Cascade Engineering, for the amount of Eighty -Nine Thousand, Seven Hundred
22 Eighty -Four Dollars ($89,784.00), and to issue a one (1) -year annual purchase order for
23 additional carts as needed.
24 Section 2. Funds for this purchase are to be allocated from Account #603110- 60170.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
26 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
27 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
28 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
29 unconstitutional were not originally a part of the resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
31 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
