5 (1) -YEAR WITH THE OPTION FOR A SECOND YEAR PER THE BID
6 CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, L.R. Res. No. 12,828 (Feb. 3, 2009) awarded the primary annual uniform and
equipment contract to Cruse Uniforms and Equipment as the lowest bidder for 100 of the 103 items
specified, and a secondary contract to Stroud Safety Apparel of Stroud, Oklahoma, which submitted the
low bid for the three (3) exceptions for reflective vests; and
WHEREAS, L.R. Res. No. 12,828 specified only one (1) -year of the three (3) -year contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to extend the Uniform and Equipment contract award to
Cruse Uniforms and Equipment, as the primary vendor for the purchase of police uniforms, accessories
and equipment, and to Stroud Safety Apparel, as the alternate vendor for specific items within the bid
offering, for one (1) -year, with an option for one (1) additional year per the current contract language.
Section 2. Funds for this agreement are to be allocated from the Little Rock Police Department's
2009 Budget —Account No. 105220- 60030.
Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be
invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this
resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or
unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution.
Section 4. Repealer. All ordinances and resolutions, and parts thereof, which are in conflict with any
provision of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
