AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE LAND USE PLAN (16,222) IN THE
INTERSTATE 30, EAST LITTLE ROCK, PORT AND PORT SOUTH
PLANNING DISTRICTS (LU10 -01) FOR VARIOUS CHANGES; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock Planning Commission believes it appropriate to amend the plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Confederate Boulevard is amended from
Commercial to Mixed Use to protect surrounding school and residences from potential redevelopment.
Section 2. That area one (1) -block east of Geyer Street Road, between East 14th and East 17th Streets,
is amended from Residential Medium Density to Industrial to reflect existing uses.
Section 3. That area proposed for the East 9th Street expansion east of Bond Street is amended from
Park/Open Space to Industrial and Residential Medium Density to reflect the addition of the new roadway
Section 4. That the blocks bounded by Apperson Street, East 8th Street, Harrington Avenue and East
11th Street and the blocks bounded by Corning Avenue, East 6th Street, Carson Street and East 10th Street
is amended from Residential Low Density, Residential Medium Density and Residential High Density to
Light Industrial to reflect the properties purchased by the Little Rock Airport.
Section 5. The northeast corner of Fourche Dam Pike and Lindsey Road is amended from Industrial
to Commercial to reflect current and likely future uses.
Section 6. The area of approximately 1,860 acres located east of Fourche Creek, south of Sloane
Drive and west of Thibault Road is amended from Agricultural to Industrial to reflect the Little Rock Port
Authority's future plans for expansion.
Section 7. That the ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage and
approval.
