3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 15 -27 OF THE LITTLE ROCK REVISED
4 CODE OF 1988 TO ADD AN ADDITIONAL MEMBER TO THE LITTLE ROCK
5 CITY BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

7 WHEREAS, Section 15 -27 of the City of Little Rock Revised Code of 1988 provides that the Little Rock City
8 Beautiful Commission (the "Commission ") shall be composed of nine (9) members; and
9 WHEREAS, there are a number of citizens who have expressed interest in serving on the Commission; and
10 WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has concluded that it would be beneficial to the City and the Commission to add
11 an additional member to the Commission to be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Board.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
13 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
14 Section 1. The first sentence of Section 15 -27 (a) of the City of Little Rock Revised Code is hereby
15 amended to read as follows:
16 (a) The city beautiful commission shall be composed of ten (10) members who shall be qualified
17 electors of the city.
18 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this
19 ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the
20 remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as ifthe portion so declared or adjudged to
21 be invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the ordinance.

Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are inconsistent with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
