3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
4 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR A DEFERRAL OF
5 MASTER STREET PLAN CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS FOR KANIS ROAD; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances is amended to provide for a deferral of
certain requirements within the Master Street Plan until the adjacent property along Kanis Road is
developed for Baker Elementary School, at 15001 Kanis Road.
Subsection a.Chapter 30 Article VI requiring developers to construct roadway improvements
to the requirements of the Master Street Plan will be deferred for a period of five (5) years or
until adjacent development along Kanis Road occurs whichever occurs first. The specific
deferral is for improving Kanis Road as part of the Baker Elementary School Rev. Conditional
Use Permit along the frontage of the property at 15001 Kanis Road to minor arterial standards
including widening of 29.5 feet from centerline, curb, gutter, sidewalk, access ramps, and
street lights. The improvements also consist of reconstructing Baker Lane at the intersection
with Kanis Road to create a 90 degree "T" style intersection.
Subsection b. On Kanis Road, a 45 foot right of way dedication from centerline along the
frontage of the property at 15001 Kanis Road will be required prior to approval of the
certificate of occupancy.
Section 2. This ORDINANCE shalt take effect thirty (30) days from and after its passage.
