A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT
PORTION OF KAVANAUGH BLVD., BETWEEN
MCKINLEY STREET AND KAVANAUGH PLACE, TO
RICHARD B. HARDIE DRIVE. (G -25 -191)
WHEREAS, an application was filed by Westover Hills Presbyterian Church
requesting that the name of that portion of Kavanaugh Blvd. located between McKinley
Street and Kavanaugh Place be changed to Richard B. Hardie Drive in honor of the
church's pastor emeritus; and
WHEREAS, Westover Hills Presbyterian Church owns the majority of the
property abutting the affected portion of Kavanaugh Blvd., and
WHEREAS, at its July 29, 2004 meeting, the Little Rock Planning Commission
voted to recommend approval of the requested street name change by a vote of 10 ayes,
0 noes and 1 absent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The name of that portion of Kavanaugh Blvd. located between
McKinley Street and Kavanaugh Place is hereby changed to Richard B. Hardie Drive.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and the City Manager is hereby directed to notify all departments of said
change.
