3 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 30 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
4 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, PROVIDING FOR A DEFERRAL OF
5 MASTER STREET PLAN CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS FOR KANIS ROAD; AND
6 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
9 Section 1. That Chapter 30 of the Code of Ordinances be amended to provide for a deferral of
10 certain requirements within the Master Street Plan until the adjacent property along Kanis Road is
11 developed by Rocket Properties, Inc, as part of the Woodlands Edge Conceptual Long -form PCD located
12 southeast of the intersection of Kanis Road, Kirby Road, and Cooper Orbit Road.
13 Subsection a. Chapter 30 Article VI requiring developers to construct roadway
14 improvements to the requirements of the Master Street Plan will be deferred for a period of
15 five (5) years, until the lots that front Kanis Road develop, or until adjacent development along
16 Kanis Road occurs whichever occurs first. The specific deferral is for improving Kanis Road to
17 minor arterial standards including widening to 29.5 ft from centerline, curb, gutter, drainage
18 improvements, sidewalk, access ramps, street lights, and construction of a right turn lane.
19 Subsection b. On Kanis Road, at least 45 foot right of way from centerline or of sufficient
20 width for installation of the intersection improvements and right turn lane will be dedicated
21 along Kanis Road with the final plat.
22 Section 2. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, phrase or
23 word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
24 adjudication shalt not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force
25 and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part
26 of the ordinance.

Section 3. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
