3 AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON THE TEN (10) FOOT -WIDE ALLEY RIGHT -OF-
4 WAY LOCATED WITHIN BLOCK 24, COX'S SUBDIVISION OF TAYLOR AND
5 BODEMAN ADDITION, LOCATED AT 1624 S. CLEVELAND STREET, TO THE
6 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, a request was made to vacate and abandon the 10- foot -wide alley right -of -way
9 located within Block 24, Cox's Subdivision of Taylor and Bodeman Addition, located at 1624 S.
10 Cleveland Street), pursuant to the City's general police power authority under Ark. Code Ann. S 14 -54-
11 104; and
12 WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the abandoning of this public right -of -way will not
13 have an adverse impact on the adjacent property owners nor the local traffic, and therefore, the right -
14 of -way abandoned by this ordinance is no longer needed for corporate purposes;
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
16 ROCK, ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors hereby releases, vacates, and abandons a 10- foot -wide alley
18 right -of -way located within Block 24, Cox's Subdivision of Taylor and Bodeman Addition, located at
19 1624 S. Cleveland Street.
20 Section 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the real
21 estate records of the recorder of the Circuit Clerk in ex officio recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
22 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
23 phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
24 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain
25 in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional was
26 not originally a part of the ordinance.
27 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same that are

inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.
