AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 18,703,
REVOKING A PLANNED OFFICE DISTRICT TITLED
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SHORT -FORM POD
LOCATED AT 1600 SOUTH CLEVELAND STREET,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES. (Z -7220)
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 18,703 was passed on June 18, 2002 which
established the Knights of Columbus Short-Form POD located at 1600 South Cleveland
Street; and
WHEREAS, the owner of the property has requested that the Planned Office
District zoning be revoked and the prior R -2 zoning restored; and
WHEREAS, at its April 13, 2006 meeting, the Little Rock Planning Commission
voted to recommend revocation of the Planned Office District zoning in conjunction with
its review of a conditional use permit for the site.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 18,703 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. That the preliminary site development plan/plat approved by
Ordinance No. 18,703 is hereby revoked.
SECTION 3. That the POD classification of the property described as Lots 1, 2,
11 and 12, Block 24, Cox's Subdivision of Taylor and Bodeman's Subdivision to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas and the South '/z of West 16th Street adjacent to said property is
revoked and the former R -2 zoning classification is restored on the official Zoning Map.
SECTION 4. That the map referred to in Chapter 36 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock and designated district map be and it is hereby amended to the
extent and in the respects necessary to affect and designate the change provided for in
Section 3 hereof.
SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force 30 days
after the side of its passage and approval.
SECTION 6. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item,
sentence, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid
or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining
portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so
declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
ordinance.
SECTION 7. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,
that are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed to the
extent of such inconsistency.
