AN ORDINANCE GRANTING THE ANHEUSER -BUSH BREWING ASSOCIATION THE RIGHT
TO MAINTAIN A SPUR OR SWITCH TRACK,FOR A PERIOD OF TEN YEARS,UPON
CERTAIN PARTS OF EAST THIRD STREET AND RECTOR AVENUE,FI%ING THE AN-
NUAL RENTAL THEREFOR AT $25.00 PER ANNUM AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That, for and in consideration of the payment
of Twenty -Five ($25) Dollars per annum, payable annually in ad-

r assigns, the said Anheuser -Bush Brewing Association, its suc-
cessors or assigns, is hereby granted the right to maintain for
a period of Ten (10) years a single spur track from the end of the
spur track or switch now laid on Third Street, the said end being
about three hundred (300) feet from the East line of Rector Avenue
and maintain said switch along and across saidThird Street and
Rector Avenue in a Northwesterly direction to the South East corner
of Block Twelve (12) Popes addition to the City of Little Rock and
to such other point upon its own property as it may desire.
Section 2. That no cars shall be permitted to stand upon
the street, or sidewalks intersected by said switch, and said switch
shall in no way interfere with the traffic on said street and side-
walks: that said Brewing Association shall build and maintain
free of cost to the city or public, if the remaining nart of said
street shall be paved or macadamized during the continuance of this
grant, a pavement of like character or material between the rails and
two feet on each outside thereof: that said. switch shall be maintained
so that the top of the rails of same shall be on a level with the
grade of the street as it is now or may be hereafter established,
and shall be maintained so as not to interfere with any waterway
or flow of same, and the city shall have the right to alter said _
grade at its pleasure; that said Brewing Association shall hold
the city harmless from damages of any kind occasioned by maintaining
said switch, or the use of the same.
Section 3. That said Anheuser -Bush Brewing Association shall,
within twenty (20) days after the passage of this ordinance signify
its acceptance of the terms and provisions thereof by proper

certificate and endorsement on the record thereof. That all
rights herein granted shall cease and determine on and after
ten (10) years from the date of passage hereof, and at that time
said Anheuser —Bush Brewing Association, its successors or assigns,
shall remove said switch at its or their own expense.
Sect ion 4. This ordinance shall be in force and take
effect from and after its passage.
