ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN- LAFRANCE AND FOAMITE CORPORATIC
OF ELMIRA, NEW YORK, FOR PURCHASE OF CERTAIN FIRE FIGHTING APPARATt
AND APPROPRIATING EIGHTY -SIX THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($86,200)
FOR PAYMENT OF SAME, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK;
Section 1. That the Board of Public Affairs be, and
the same= is' hereby, auth6Tt te enter into a contract with °that
American LaFrance and Foamite Corporation, of Elmira, New York,
for the purchase, at a price of $86,200, of nine (9) pieces of
fire fighting apparatus, described as follows;
1 - 1000 gallon Triple Combination Pumping Engine with
80 gallon Water Tank;
5 750 gallon Triple Combination Pumping Engines with
80 gallon Water Tank;
2 - Combination City Service Hook and Ladder Trucks with
Chemical Tank;
1 - 751 Six Cylinder Tractor Drawn Aerial Truck;
same to be delivered f. o. b. Little Rock,and to be built as per_.;;
specifications accompanying bid.
Section 2. That the sum of Eighty -six Thousand
Two Hundred Dollars ($$6,200) be, and the same is hereby appropri-
ated from the Airport, Fire Equipment, and Hospital Annex Fund for
the purpose of paying for said equipment, and the Mayor and the
City Clerk are hereby directed to issue the City's warrant or
warrants therefor upon delivery, and acceptance,of said equipment.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after its passage.
