ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ASSESSING THE VALUE OF THE
BEHEEFITS TO BE RECEIVED BY THE OWNERS OF
EACH OF THE SEVERAL LOTS, BLOCKS AND PARCELS
OF LAND WITHIN ANNEX N0. 1 TO CURB AND
GUTTER IDC?ROYEM=- DISTRI CT NO. ;x+74 OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the majority in value of the property holders owning
property adjoining the locality to'be affected and situated in Anne No.
to Curb and Gutter Improvement District NA-474 of the C %ty of Little
Arkansas, organized and annexed for the purpose of draining, curbing, and
guttering Ha.rrssoh Street from Prospect Avenue to U Street, in such manner
and with such materials as the commissioners of said Curb and Gutter Improvement
District No. 474 shall determine to be for the best interests of the district,
the improvements to be of the same general character as that in the original
District No. 474, have petitioned the City Council of Little Rock for the
construction of said improvement and that the cost thereof shall be assessed
and charged upon the real property withi* -.said annexed territory according to
the benefits received; and,
WHEREAS, said benefits received by each and every block, lot and parcel
of real property situ.ted within said Annex No. 1 to said district equg,ls or
exceeds the local assessment thereon; and,
W A -, the estimated cost of said improvement is $5,44500.
NOW,'THEREFORE, Be it Ordained -by the City Council of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas;
Section_ 1. That said several blocks, lots, and parcels of real
property in said Annex No. 1 to Curb and Gutter Improvement District No. 474,
be assessed according to the assessment list for said Annex No. 1, as the
same now remains in the office of the city clerk, and as the same may be
annually readjusted by the board of assessors, and that six per centum on
each of said blocks, lots, and p- ^.reels shall be paid annually ors or. bef6re
the first day of August of each of the years 1929 to 1943, inclusive.
Section 2. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
