ORDINANCE NTIMER 4410. •
AN ORDINANCE RESTRICTING CERTAIN PROPERTY ADJACENT
TO "Q" `3 TREET FOR STRICTLY RESIDENTIAL PURPOSES,
JZD FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
71hereas, it appears to the City Council of the dity of
Little Dock that the territory adjacent to 'IQ" Street, between
Prospect Avenue and the `'lestern city limits of the City of
Little Rock, is strictly a residential section, and,
77hereas, there are not at present any commercial buildings,
gasoline stations, and store buildings, adjacent to ""J" Street,
as heretofore described, and,
'Ihereas, by legislative enactment recently adopted,•cities
of the first class are authorized to separate, if need be, business
from residential property;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE' CITY COTTNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
fiPntion 1: It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to hereafter build, construct, or erect any gasoline
and oil filling station where gasoline and oil will be sold; to
build, construct or erect any automobile repair garage, or any store
building, or to erect or build for business purposes any other
building within 300 feet North and South of 'IQ" Street, from the
49st line of Prospect -venue to the - lestern City Limits of the City
of Little pock.
Section 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating any
provision or provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed ruilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction in the Aiunicipal Court shall
be fined in aV sum not less than 50.00 nor more than X500.00,
and every day that said ordinance is violated shall be deemed a
separate offense.
Section 3: .,M lays and parts of la;Trs in conflict herexith
are hereby repealed and this ordinance shah take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
