An Ordinance
For the purpose of paying the fee and expenses of an expert
Combustion - engineer to Be Chosen by the Utilities
Committee:
Be It Ordained by the City Council of the City of Little
Rock:
Section 1. That the sum of Seven Hundred and Fifty
Dollars (Y750.00) , or so much thereof as may be necessary,
be and the same is hereby appropriated out of any funds in
the city treasury not otherwise appropriated, for the pur-
pose of paying the fee and expenses of an expert combustion
engineer for services to be rendered in aiding and advising the
City of Little Rock in matters of cinder and smoke nuisances, and
with special reference to the plant of the Lrkan sas Power and
Light Company.
Section 2. Warrants shall be drawn and money paid out
of this fund upon the approval of the Utilities Committee of
the City Council, whose duty it shall be to arrange with a
combustion engineer of their choice, at a -price and unon terms
to be arranged by them, but with the understanding that the
total expense shall be limited to the amount appropriated.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
