ORDINANCE N0. 4381.
AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR A REPORT TO BE MADE TO
THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, BY ALL PERSONS,
FIRMS, OR CORPORATIONS, WHO-WILL MOVE FROM ONE PLACE OF ABODE,
OR FROM A PLACE OF ABODE TO A STORAGE OR WAREHOUSE, OR FROM A
STORAGE OR WAREHOUSE TO A RAILROAD FREIGHT HOUSE OR EXPRESS
DEPOT, THE PERSONAL PROPERTY OF A RESIDENT OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, WRICH REPORT SHALL SHC X FROM WHERE MOVED, TO WHERE MOVED,
AND TO PROVIDE AGAINST THE OWNERS OF SAID PROPERTY REFUSING TO
GIVE OR GIVING A FICTITIOUS NAME, AND TO PROVIDE FOR A FINE FOR A
VIOLATION.
12 "'-ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That it is hereby made the duty of all
persons, firms or corpoga-tions owning or operating within the
city limits of Little Room, any - moving van, furniture car,trans-
fer wagon, express wagon, delivery wagon or any other vehicle
for hire, who shall haul or move, or cause to be hauled or moved,
household goods or personal effects of any person in the City
of Little Rook, which person is changing the place of his or
her abode,or is storing or shipping his or her household goods
or personal effects or removing same from storage to make a
report thereof, to the Chief of Police, whicsh .report shall be
made within one day thereafter, on a blank form, whiah form is
hereinafter prescribed. Provided this ordinance shall not apply
to trunks of traveling salesmen or other hotel guests, or trmnks
and hand baggage moved from a place of aboWe to a railroad Sta-
tion or express depot, but it does apply to trunks moved from ,..
place of abode to place of abode.
SECTION 2. Be it further ordained that it shall be
unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation producing the
removal of any property herein-- ieearibed to give to the owner
or operator of any vehicle employed to haul such property a
fictitious name or refuse to give the correct name of the own-
er or party in possession of such property, or to willfully
deceive him as to the same.
SECTION 15. Be it further ordained that the form or
blank to be filled in by the person embraced in Section 1 here-
in shall be as follows:

This certificate must be returned to the Chief of-
Police within one day.
SECTION a.Be it further ordained, that any person,
firm or corporation guilty of violating any of the sections of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mdedemanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined $5.00 for each offense and
every violation shall constitute a separate offense.

Dear Mr. foyer;
Having been advised that before .signing the 1,iovinig
( Ordinance passed by the City Council last Monday night, you
would rewire a guarantee that the city would be relieved of
any and all expense of carrying the case through the Supreme
Court, we wish to advise that the following resolution was
adopted unanimously at a joint meeting of the Officers and
Board of Directors of this Association held on this date;
"Resolved that the Retail Credit Alan's Association •
of Little Rock shall guarantee to the 11ayor and to the City
of Little Rock that it will, without any expense to the City,
defend or prosecute through the Supreme Court, if necessary,
any court action involving, the validity of the Nbving Ordinance
passed by the city council Monday night, December 3rd, 1928,
conditioned upon the Mayor signing or approving said ordinance."
