AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SIDE1.7ALKS, T,'IELVE FEET
IN SIXTH, ON ',VEST SIXTH STREET FROM MAIN TO CENTER STREET, AND ON
L STREET FROM SEVENTH TO MARKHAM STREET, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK:
Section 1. That the owner or owners of property abutting
on West Sixth Street, between Main and Center Streets, and on
Street, between Seventh and Markham Streets, be and they are hereby
required to constriLot within ninety days from the passage of this
ordinance, and to thereafter maintain a sidewalk twelve feet in
width together with appropriate curbing; and said sidewalk and
curbing shall be constructed of the material and according to the
specifications, and in the manner outlined and provided for in
Section 1281 of Hale's Digest of the City Ordianees of Little Rock,
Arkansas, and subject to the aplroval of the Superintendent of
Public Works.
Section 2. Anyone failing to comply with the provisions of
this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction in the Little Rock Municipal Court, shall be fined in
any sum not less than $5.00 nor more than $25.00, and each day after
the expiration of the period above given in which to lay said side-
walks shall constitute a separate offense under `phis ordinance.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordir—qnc es in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
